Radiology

Surgery

Our surgical suite is equipped for both routine and emergency operations. We use isoflurane and sevoflurane gas anesthetics-- the safest available. The use of monitoring equipment ensures the safety of the pet during any procedure. In addition, we offer complete dental care and professional dental scaling and polishing.

Laboratory

Our on-site laboratory allows us to collect specimens for rapid analysis of the patient's potential health problems with the assistance of technologically advanced equipment. Should further testing be required, we are equipped to send specimens in outside labs for additional advanced testing procedures.

Pharmacy

In addition to providing a fully stocked veterinary pharmacy, we also work closely with local and national pharmacies to custom compound medication when the situation arises.

Many health problems require frequent or regular medications. In order to satisfy medical ethical and legal requirements, it is necessary for the veterinarian to review the pet's record, approve the refill and note the medication dispensed on the pet's record. If the veterinarian is involved in examinations, treatments or surgery, there could be a minor delay. If possible, please phone in advance so that this procedure can be accomplished before your arrival. According to Georgia law, we cannot fill prescriptions for any pet that we have not examined.

Appointments:
It is advantageous to you and your pet to make an appointment. By doing so you will have less waiting time, and the waiting room will be calmer for you and your pet. Please understand that like humans, pets don't synchronize their illnesses with our appointment book, and surgical procedures sometimes take longer than planned, so an occasional delay is inevitable. We will make every effort to be on time. PLEASE BRING YOUR DOG ON A LEAD AND YOUR CAT IN A CAGE OR A BOX. This is for the safety of your pet and others.

Payment:
Payment is expected upon completion of your visit or your pet's hospital stay. We accept cash, personal checks, VISA, MasterCard and Discover. Any other arrangements should be discussed and made in ADVANCE of your visit.

Occasionally the cost of providing quality care can be difficult for the pet owner to manage. We are more than happy to discuss our fees and to eliminate treatment cost at any time. We feel that communication on this aspect of care is very important. Please do not hesitate to question us about your charges.

Visiting Your Pet:
We realize that having a pet hospitalized can create many anxious feelings. The desire to visit a sick or injured pet is natural, but instead of reassuring your pet, visits usually cause too much excitement and activity-- especially when you leave. We will be as complete as possible when giving phone reports. Occasionally, depending on the condition of the pet, visits are encouraged. If you want to visit, please check with us about your particular situation.
